Filmmakers often get a registered trademark on the name of their production company. You can also get a trademark on the logo of the production company. Registering the trademark is a great protection for the name of your production company.
You cannot get a trademark on the title of a single movie, but you may be able to get that name as a trademark for shirts or other merch.
You can also get a trademark on your own name as a director, writer, or cinematographer.
You can and should get a copyright registration on any screenplay you write, on any movie you make, etc.

If you want to option a screenplay or life story rights, you need a contract for that.
If you need music for your film, you need a license contract for that. That is called a synch license.
